Fresh fish put in this past week, just in time for Father's Day. 1000 tagged rainbows stocked at River Side and River Ridge.

I fished the River Ridge area on 6/16 from about 2:00 until 5:00 pm after the rain came thru the area. I caught and released four of the white tagged fish. I was able to get three of the numbers.
#64506, #64797, and #64262.
They were caught on a #16 Griffth's Gnat. They were not very active. They were alot of fun to catch because you could see them moving in the current with their little white tags.

The first load of fresh fish are in!!! Fall stocking '07 has begun.
After lunch, we headed for Hind's Bluff, as I had gotten word that AGFC was planning to bring in some fish this afternoon, so we stopped in there to see if they were in the vicinity yet. Sure enough, there was Brandon with the truck, already getting ready to move to the next site. The first stockers of the fall season were in!
And I got to tell ya'! In keeping with just one of the AGFC Trout Program intentions set forth last year - that being to stock larger fish on occasion - I'd say they did a real good job of stocking larger fish today! A REAL GOOD JOB!!! "And that's all I have to say about that..." Well maybe this will help with your image of larger fish... They ONLY stocked 900 fish today. We speculated that that was all of these fish the truck could hold!
Nice fish... We only lost three out of the 900 that didn't survive the trip and, unfortunately, one of those - that Mark and I struggled to save for half an hour - was likely in the 18 inch range, but probably weighed about four pounds! Damn!!!
